Teach Technology Education!

In the last five years, 500+ Technology Education Teachers retired in NJ. None were replaced. In the next five years, it is expected that another 500 Technology Education Teachers will also retire in NJ. At this rate we will not be able to run Technology Courses in New Jersey within 10 years. The College of New Jersey is the only four year college in NJ that prepares teachers in the area of Technology Education. Other institutions are collaborating and going to offer a teaching degree also very soon.

As an active member of the New Jersey Technology Education Association and the 2006-7 Past President, I am committed to finding a few new good students to become Technology Education Teachers to replace those that are retiring around the state. Other states are having the same trouble. Technology Education majors are guaranteed a job. Having summers off is not hard to take either. Teaching also allows opportunities to coach as well. A technology Education teacher can teach many topics. Some common topics are Graphic arts, Material Processing, Power & Engines, Film and Video Production, Structures, Architecture and many more.

It is my pleasure to introduce you to my passion, the field of Technology Education. If you are a student interested in this field, I will guide you to a great college program to get you trained. If you are an adult with an architecture, design or engineering background, I can also guide you to getting certified to teach Technology Education.
